OVERVIEW

This January will mark two years since the last time many of us in the 340B drug pricing program community were able to meet in person for the 340B Coalition Winter Conference. Since then, COVID-19 has thoroughly reshaped the ways we work, interact, and live our lives. Of course, members of our community have been diligent about maintaining contact, with thousands of you using online conferences, webinars, and other virtual events to continue sharing best practices and staying abreast of the latest health system developments. But those connections just have not been the same when we could not be in the same place with each other.

That is why the 340B Coalition is thrilled to invite all of you to our next Winter Conference in San Diego, occurring Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, 2022. As always, the conference will be a must-attend event for all 340B stakeholders – covered entities, pharmacies, service providers, manufacturers, government agency officials, and all those committed to providing needed care to patients living with low incomes and those living in rural areas.

For the past two years, the importance of the 340B program to our nation’s health system has not waned in the slightest. In fact, it has become even more critical to safety-net providers and the increasing numbers of patients who have relied on them as our nation has grappled with a global pandemic. New opportunities have arisen to apply program savings to areas of care where they are needed the most. In some instances, 340B savings have kept covered entities open during a harsh economic period. At the same time, new challenges to the program have mobilized those of us committed to preserving and protecting it for the future.

We will be discussing these issues and more when we see each other again in January. Conference sessions will provide the most important intelligence needed to implement and operate effective, efficient, and compliant 340B programs. Government officials and other experts will offer guidance on ensuring alignment with all federal and state laws. Providers and other health professionals will share innovative approaches to using resources to expand care access and improve patient health outcomes.

The conference will bring you up to date and up to speed on all the latest 340B developments in the courts, on Capitol Hill, in the administration, and at statehouses throughout the nation. This will include the status of regulatory and legislative actions in response to restrictions on 340B savings, litigation challenging the government’s authority to enforce the 340B statute, continuing COVID-related stresses on 340B, and more. This information will ensure our community can continue advocating effectively for 340B on behalf of our organizations and the people we serve.

And perhaps most notably, the conference again will provide valuable occasions to meet and chat face to face with peers during stakeholder breakout sessions, at networking receptions, and in the exhibit hall. The safety of our attendees is paramount, and we will be following all applicable state and federal requirements for meeting safely in person.

So please join us at the 340B Coalition Winter Conference as we renew those connections and plan together for the 340B opportunities and challenges we will face in 2022. We will see you in San Diego this January!

NOTE FROM THE 340B COALITION:
